Options for new members:
Gosforth Golf Club offers a range of membership options suitable for both regular and occasional golfers including:
- 7-day Membership
- 5-day Membership (Monday/Friday play)
- Associate Membership see below
- Junior Membership (aged 11-20)
- Country Membership
- CASC Membership
- Social Membership (Non-playing)

There are currently vacancies in all categories of membership although Associate Membership numbers may be limited at some stage.
The membership year starts 1 April and new members joining from 1 May will be charged pro-rata to 31 March. Only 7-day and 5-day members can pay their subscription by monthly instalments. This facility is operated by a third party for which there is a surcharge.
All Categories include a members discount of 10% at the bar.

Some membership categories have restrictions on competition play and these will be explained when joining.

7-day Membership: No limitations on play. Cost varies, see below.

5-day Membership: Play is permitted 5 days/week (Monday to Friday). Cost £599.50.

Associate Membership: This offers the opportunity to join a Golf Club at a lower amount and then pay a £12 green fee each time you play. Play is permitted all day Sunday to Friday and on Saturdays after 2.00pm in the Summer and after 12.00pm in the Winter. Cost £203.50

Junior Membership: No limitations on play except on Saturday mornings play is only permitted if accompanied by an adult. Cost varies, see below.

Country Membership: No limitations on play but a members’ primary residence must be outside a 60 mile radius of Gosforth. Cost £269.50

Social Membership (Non-playing): Use of the clubhouse only. Cost £17.60.

CASC Membership: This provides affordable golf for those on a modest or low income. Play is permitted all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and on Sundays after 12.00pm. Lady members may also play in Tuesday Medal competitions as Tuesday is the main ladies competition day. Other terms and conditions apply. Cost and further details are available on request.

Lockers: Additional yearly charges: Mens lockers - full size locker £50; smaller luggage locker £20 plus a one-off key deposit of £25. Ladies lockers - £20.

Please note: Juniors, Country & Social members have no entitlement to any voice in the management of the club or voting rights at any meeting.

Ladies Get Into Golf Lessons!

We offer group golf sessions for ladies of all ages in a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment. These lessons are perfect for beginners!

I have thoroughly enjoyed having weekly group lessons as part of the ‘Ladies Get Into Golf’ at GGC. It is such a friendly and welcoming environment with lovely teachers to help every step of the way. I have loved learning the basics of golf, with each lesson having a different focus.
